About Us Page
Hi, I’m Mirjam and I ‘run’ Running Adventures. This Company is my dream come true, and I would love to share it, and my passion for the outdoors, with you.
Spending time on beautiful trails, travelling, and running with like-minded people is what it’s all about. And for me, it doesn’t feel like work (although to ensure you have a great time, there is plenty of work going on behind the scenes).
It feels like fun. And this is what we want for our guests—to have fun while doing something you love, in places that will inspire you.
I have always had a passion for the outdoors. I fell in love with the mountains when, as a young girl, my grandmother took me on a trip to Mount Rig in Switzerland. In my mid-twenties I decided I loved journeying up the mountains using my own legs to carry me (hiking, skiing, climbing and mountain biking) in preference to riding the cable car. The Black Forest and the Alps were two of my favourite places.
But it was here in Australia that I discovered trail running and instantly knew that this was for me.
Being in the mountains, in nature, trail running is my happy space. If you are here, I then you share my devotion to trail running.
And at the end of the day, well, you’ll probably find me talking about trail running, and planning the next adventure, all in good company while enjoying tasty food.
I have created this business to introduce to and share this amazing experience with as many fellow runners as possible, so that you may experience the high that comes after a day of running trails.
I enjoy helping, encouraging, and leading groups to places that I find inspiring. I have always found the trail running community to be a supportive group of people and I bring this culture to my trail running adventure tours.
My experience guiding training runs in the Blue Mountains has given me the skills to ensure that the groups have a safe, fun time. It also strengthened my dream of creating ‘Running Adventures’.
Now I can share the beauty of this sport, and nature, with you.
Let me take you on the trail running adventure of a lifetime.
My Qualifications:
- NSW Athletics Running Coach
- Cert III in Outdoor Leadership
- Cert III in Tourism (currently undertaking)
- Event Manager
- Diploma in Business Management
