What will you need from me?
I have a copy brief that I will send out to you with some questions. While you may roll your eyes at filling out a questionnaire, who doesn’t, it’s a really good opportunity to think about your business, market, competitors, and where you want to be.
But you don't have a sample in your portfolio of my industry.
First of all, that’s not a question, that’s a statement 😉. Secondly, I may have written for your industry but not yet uploaded it to my website as I’m busy writing content for people like you. Thirdly, the first time I wrote a case study for a large American SAAS company, they loved it. The first time I wrote website copy for a marketing company, they loved it. And the first time I wrote a landing page featuring CHEERS cheese, they loved it. I got this.
What about payment?
I will require a 50% deposit before I start and you can pay me the balance when you are utterly, and completely head over heels in love with what I have created.
Do you do the graphic design?
Hell no! I leave that to the experts. The wonderfully talented Kayla Scarman of Studio Grove does graphic design.
How long does the process take?
That, my friend, depends on several factors. Your speed in getting the required information back to me is one of those, the amount of writing required and the level of research needed is another. But, I will ignore my family in my quest to deliver your copy as quickly as possible 😉
What if I hate what you've written?
Good question. I want you to be completely happy with what I deliver. I will rewrite it until you are. But, this is where the brief becomes important as it’s unlikely I will create something you hate if I have a good understanding of what you want and who we are speaking to.
Can I get fries with that?
Sure. But you are going to have to get them yourself 😊
